It was a big night in LA last night (Sunday, September 14th), as Disney partned with City of Hope to hold a benefit concert that featured both Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.

Also feauting the Jonas Brothers’ opening act was close friend and tour-mate, Demi Lovato. The Gibson Amphitheatre show helped support cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope.

Micheal A. Friedman, M.D., president and cheif executive officer of City of Hope said, “We are honored and grateful for the generosity of Disney, Creative Artists Agency and the dedication of Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers in supporting the lifesaving work of City of Hope.” He continues on, “This concert for Hope demonstrates their commitment to improving the lives of patients with cancer and to helping create a future in which cancer is not only treatable, but curable and preventable.”

Last night’s amazing star sparkling performance continues a line of charitable giving to the organization from both Disney and Miss Miley Cyrus, as last year, Disney donated $1 from every ticket sold during her highly anticipated and successful “Best of Both Worlds” concert tour, raising more than $1 for the benefit.

All in all, I hope it wasn’t too awkward for Nick and Miley to come face to face once again.
